UMF is the antibacterial property which is naturally present in some strains of Manuka Honey, but not all Manuka Honey. The UMF number refers to the antiseptic level of the honey. The higher the level, the more antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal the honey is. UMF Manuka Honey is a totally natural and safe product to eat and has been enjoyed for its flavour and health giving properties for generations.
Sterilised Manuka honey and Manuka honey creams can be used to relieve problems such as skin ulcers, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, sun burn and insect bites.
